The SDGs came into effect in January 2016, and they will continue to guide UNDP policy and funding until 2030. With already over 120 government requests to UNDP and UN Country Teams, there has been sustained demand for support in implementing the SDGs. Our support includes mainstreaming the SDGs into national and local development plans, accelerating SDG implementation through prioritization and synergies, and providing structured expertise from across the UN System. Through integrating SDG support, UNDP is facilitating country missions and policy tools to meet this demand and build coherence across SDG implementation at national and local levels.
